/WASHINGTON DC— In a thundering announcement that managed to be both self-important and completely unhinged, Rosie O’Donnell emerged from whatever Irish cave she had been sulking in Thursday to declare that the Democratic Party is too weak to survive without her.
Standing in front of an American flag that looked slightly embarrassed to be there, O’Donnell borrowed General Douglas MacArthur’s famous line and upgraded it for the age of social media:
**“I have returned!”**
She then immediately clarified that her return is not optional.
“The party has been wandering in the wilderness without me,” O’Donnell said, jabbing a finger at the camera. “They tried being reasonable. They tried winning elections the old-fashioned way. Look where that got them. Trump is still breathing. MAGA is still allowed to vote. This is what happens when you leave the grown-ups at home.”
According to O’Donnell, the only path forward is the one she has always known was correct: full-spectrum socialism, delivered with maximum attitude and zero patience for dissent.
“Democracy is the problem,” she explained with the calm certainty of someone who has never once been told she was wrong. “You let people choose and look what they choose. Trump. MAGA. Pickup trucks. Freedom. It’s disgusting. Socialism is what it takes to defeat democracy. You don’t ask the children what they want for dinner. You tell them. And then you take away the dessert until they agree.”
Party insiders, speaking from behind locked doors and strong drinks, confirmed that O’Donnell has already begun issuing demands.
“She’s not offering to help,” one exhausted strategist said. “She’s announcing a takeover. She genuinely believes the only thing standing between America and the socialist utopia is her personal attention.”
O’Donnell closed the press conference by staring directly into the lens for an uncomfortably long time before delivering her final warning:
“I left once. That was your warning. I shall return. And this time I’m bringing the socialism with me. Trump and his little MAGA friends had their turn playing democracy. Now it’s my turn to fix it.”
